Since then we have seen her in movies and TV-shows such as ‘Games of Thrones’, ‘Me Before You’ and ‘Last Christmas’.
Early Life
Clarke was born in London, England, on October 23, 1986. Raised in the countryside of Oxfordshire, her interest in acting began at an early age, when her mother took her to a production of the classic musical Show Boat, on which her father was working as a sound engineer.
Accompanying her father on future trips to the theater would only deepen her fascination.
Clarke was educated at Rye St. Antony and St. Edwards in Oxford, during which time she appeared in productions of West Side Story and Twelfth Night. Rounding out her love of performance, she also learned to sing and play the guitar.
Following her graduation from secondary school, she was accepted at the esteemed Central Saint Martins Drama Centre London, which counts actors such as Michael Fassbender, Colin Firth and Tom Hardy among its more famous alumni.
While pursuing her studies, Clarke appeared in numerous stage productions at the school.
Career
Clarke’s early acting work includes two stage plays at St. Edwards and ten plays at the Drama Centre London. Her initial TV performances were in an episode of the soap opera’ Doctors’ and in the television film ‘Triassic Attack’. In 2011, the actress was cast as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’.
Her performance earned positive reviews and she won the Ewwy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama in 2011.
In 2012, she did the films ‘Spike Island’ and ‘Shackled’.
Clarke then appeared in the American science fiction movie ‘Terminator Genisys’. The movie was a commercial success though it received poor reviews. Her performance was praised by critics. She next had a role in the flick ‘Me Before You’ in 2016.
The film was a major hit. That year, she also voiced the character of Bridget in an episode of ‘Robot Chicken’. The actress then did the film ‘Voice from the Stone’ in 2017.
The same year, she also did voice work for an episode each of the animated series ‘Animals’ and ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ respectively.

Personal Life
Emilia Clarke Movies and TV Shows
‘Game of Thrones’
After completing her studies at the Drama Centre in 2009, Clarke set to work building her career, landing her first television role in the BBC dramatic series Doctors and appearing in several commercials.
A more significant role came the following year, in the made-for-TV horror/sci-fi movie Triassic Attack (2010). But despite this early television work, Clarke was holding several day jobs to make ends meet.
Her big break finally came when she received a call from her agent asking her if she could audition for the new HBO series Game of Thrones.
Clarke immediately called in sick to the catering company she was scheduled to work for, and after a successful audition was cast in the role of Daenerys Targaryen, would-be queen and Mother of Dragons, a role originally held by Tamzin Merchant, who left the show after filming the unaired pilot.
Based on the series of novels by George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones was an immediate and massive hit and ran for eight wildly successful seasons before wrapping in May 2019. For her standout role, Clarke won several awards and garnered multiple Emmy and Screen Actors Guild nominations.
“I’ve had the good fortune of being in this incredible show with this incredible character,” she told NPR in 2019. “And my goodness, if I were to get stereotyped as the Mother of Dragons, I could ask for worse. It’s really quite wonderful.”
Later in the year, during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s podcast, the actress revealed that she felt pressured to film nude scenes for the show.
‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ on Broadway, ‘Terminator Genisys’ .
Clarke’s newfound fame from Game of Thrones quickly led to other projects, including a starring role in the 2012 indie music drama Spike Island.
In 2013 she made her first appearance on Broadway, cast as Holly Golightly in a stage production of Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and starred opposite Jude Law in the British comedy Dom Hemingway.
After turning down the lead in 50 Shades of Grey — stating that she didn’t want to be pigeonholed in “nudity” roles — Clarke was cast as Sarah Connor opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator Genisys, the 2015 installment of the Terminator saga.
Solo: A Star Wars Story,’ ‘Last Christmas’
Clarke also starred in the romantic drama Me Before You (2016) and the much anticipated Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)as Qi’ra, Solo’s childhood friend and romantic interest. Next up was the female lead of Kate, opposite Henry Golding’s mysterious Tom, in the romantic comedy Last Christmas (2019).

Favorite Quotes from Emilia Clarke
“Personally, I’d like as many children as I can pop out, I reckon. You come from a happy family; you want to create a happy family. And in the same breath, I’d like to be on stage at England’s National Theatre, doing Miller and Chekhov. Give me a Sam Mendes/Tennessee Williams combination that would be glorious. And to be making some Oscar-worthy movies with Scorsese. I’m always looking for the hard road. That way, you remain interested and interesting. Hopefully.” – Emilia Clarke
My life is unrecognizable compared to what it was – ‘Game of Thrones’ has opened doors that were never there before. But it can be dangerous to see it in those terms, I think. It’s best to take it as it comes and work as hard as you can, and hopefully, the other things fall into place.” – Emilia Clarke
I was at a Golden Globes after party and Channing f**king Tatum came up to me, and his stunning missus, Jenna Dewan. And they said, ‘We call each other moon of my life and my sun and stars’ and all that. I was like, ‘I cannot contain this. Please, can we all have something sexual together? You’re both beautiful. Even just a hug’.” – Emilia Clarke
Powerful Lessons from Emilia Clarke and the movie ‘Me Before You’
Now that you know all about Emilia Clarke’s net worth, and how she achieved success; let’s take a look at some of the best lessons we can learn from her:
Embrace Who You Are; No Matter What Anyone Has to Say About It
Louisa is often judged for her bubbly personality. Will calls her “chatty” and makes a big deal that she basically doesn’t shut up around him.
She is always judged for her fashion sense where Will claims she “raids her grandmother’s wardrobe” and her boyfriend Patrick claims her one pair of shoes look “leprechaun drag queens”. But, Lou never gives a damn and continues to live her days dressed as she likes.
You Only Get One Life
It’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible. Will teaches many valuable lessons including this one; never waste the life you have been given, as there is no point in regret or simply existing.
Through his quadriplegia and battle to accept his new life, he teaches us to live in the moment and make the best out of every opportunity. I’ll be honest, I have had several occasions of hearing Sam Claflin’s voice in my head saying these words to me when I am down in the dumps.
When You Truly Love Someone, You Will Do What is Best For Them and Not For You
Lou battles with what is right versus what is best for Will. Of course, she uses the excuse that Will is being selfish for wanting to end his life but by the end, she realizes it was her that had been selfish. She wanted Will to stay no matter how much pain he was in.
She realized “You can’t change people for who they are, you can only love them.”
Who Is Her Boyfriend?
According to sources Emilia Clarke is single now. However, she has been in relationships with few talented men but never with any co-star from GoT. Emilia is very supportive and close to her friends, which has caused some rumors about her love life.
For example, she and co-stars Kit Harrington or Jason Momoa, who both happily married, and Emilia is just a loving friend. Once she told Marie Claire, “My career makes romantic relationships absolutely impossible.”
The famous actress did not give up on her love life and tried an exclusive dating app called Raya for high-profile people. So, Emilia tried to go on online dating. She went there with stunning photos of herself and tried to find the man of her life. But, unfortunately, online dating was not for her, and she removed her profile from the app. So please have a look at who she has romantically connected.
Health problems
Troubles came from where no one was waiting for them. Emily had serious health problems. She was constantly sick, pressure jumped, her head was spinning regularly. At first she did not want to raise a panic. She believed that all the problems arose due to the heavy shooting schedule.
But I still had to turn to the doctors. Emilia began to have severe headaches. The diagnosis is disappointing – “subarachnoid hemorrhage.” As a result, I had to do an operation that lasted several hours. Although there was no autopsy, the situation only got worse after surgery. There were problems with speech, memory began to refuse. Emilia could not even remember her own name. There was no need to repeat the operation, after a few days the speech was restored, the memory returned.
But the pains did not go far immediately, because of which the work on the creation of the second season was one continuous torment. Emilia continued to act in films, distributed interviews, and photographed with fans. And she always smiled, despite headaches that could not be drowned out even with the help of medications.
Over time, the pain went away. Emilia starred in the projects Spike Island and Hemingway House.
After a few months, the condition worsened sharply. Headaches became even stronger. Tomography showed that Emilia is in critical condition. And if you don’t do the operation, it may die. Everything went wrong as the doctors planned. An aneurysm burst during the operation. From severe pain, the actress woke up right in the operating room. Because of this, doctors began to prepare the actress for another operation. This time I had to open the skull.
Fortunately, nothing happened. The operation was successful, the headaches were over. Emilia has been feeling fine for several years now.
